Project
The LEcMAT operation is in the priority area S4 – Industry 4.0 – Development of new materials as end product. The concept of the project is based on the development of a feasibility study for the development and optimisation of the LEcMAT nanocomposite, which will have both an energy-efficient heating function and the properties of flexible textile material. Today, nanotechnology is one of the most widely used technologies transforming traditional industries, production processes, energy efficiency, recycling, emissions control, the integration of innovation into sustainable development and waste treatment. These are the sectors that are rapidly evolving and adding value to global competitiveness on an EU-wide scale.

Project objective
We have set ourselves the goal of developing a material that creates added value and plays a role in international value chains. This will increase investment in the development of smart materials (heating materials produced with nanotechnology) and the added value of workers in the "other textile manufacturing" sector (C13.9). In terms of content, the process refers to other industries that will use the newly developed material as a final product in their own products. Solutions. This means that LEcMAT could become the most widely used product in the automotive, construction, furniture and clothing industries. In this context, the project involves the integration of different sectors on a European scale. This also promotes Slovenian operations abroad.

The investment has been co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia (20%) and the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (80%), which have together contributed a total of 35,000 euros.
